Today I tried my first Rise Nation class, and holy guacamole I wasn’t expecting it to be such a full body workout experience! My arms and legs hurt, and the craziest part is that the workout was only 30 minutes- I can’t even imagine what my body would have felt like if it was an hour.
The environment of the room is very similar to a Soul Cycle or Barry’s Bootcamp where the instructor is in the center guiding you and there are bright lights and loud music.
“Unlike other fitness machines, the Versaclimber doesn’t retain momentum, meaning YOU earn every foot of elevation you climb. There’s a reason why Rise Nation workouts burn nearly twice as many calories as other cardio routines.”
There are 3 different levels that Rise Nation offers to ensure you feel comfortable in the class with your own abilities. I did Level 2 today, and the average feet climb for the Level 2 class is anywhere from 1500 to 3500 feet, and I climbed 2900!
I usually burn anywhere from 300-400 calories on my Fitbit during my regular one hour fitness classes, and in just 30 minutes- I calculated 1.97 miles and 347 calories! Which means the science of double the calories is absolutely correct.
“Rising aligns your spine and engages all major muscle groups, with zero-impact. The innate movement makes for a uniquely impactful, challenging, and rewarding workout.”
The cost of the classes varies depending on the package you choose and location. If you want to try it out for a few to see how you like it, they offer 3 classes (Plano location) for $30 (new clients only), or 5 classes for $110. Or, if you want to go all in with a monthly membership, you can do unlimited classes for $149! That’s less than a Starbucks latte per class.
My arms and legs feel like pure jello, but I can’t wait to go back for another class on Saturday. Thank you, Rise Nation Plano, for inviting me out to try the classes and share it with others!
