I truthfully had no idea how crucial it was to be aware of the ingredients you put on your little ones until I was pregnant.
I've always been cognizant of certain ingredients, but I recently found Toxin Free Tay on Instagram and have been following her Safe Swap Guide religiously when it comes to buying baby products.
Every parent is different when it comes to these kinds of decisions, but I wanted to share some of her recommendations in case you are looking to make a change in products you are using on your babies or kiddos!
Why go toxin free?
Taylor listed out a really great explanation of this on her blog: "Our skin is our largest organ & it can absorb what it comes in contact with very quickly. The average woman puts somewhere around 168 chemicals on her skin daily. Did you know that the federal laws regulating the safety of cosmetics haven’t been updated since 1938?!
The FDA currently permits cosmetic companies to use toxic ingredients in their products that are known to be extremely harmful. Endocrine disruption, cancer, & organ toxicity, just to name a few. Becoming an informed consumer empowers you to take your health into your own hands!"
Organic baby products Taylor recommends:

When Taylor adds a product to her guide, she takes the following into consideration: the ingredients on the label but also ingredient sourcing, certified organic ingredients, 3rd party testing, packaging, cruelty free certifications, company ownership & lawsuits, & more.
Without further adieu, here is her list!
